This character was based on the Formosan black bear (台灣黑熊). Several ball joints were used in making of the Black Bear, but they couldn’t hold weight that well and thus it was very difficult to give different poses to it.
The articulations of the Black Bear were quite good, but having them came with a price; several of the ball joints could not be hidden well.
