When OutRun (アウト ラン) arcade game arrived in France, I was only 4 years old but I still remember the thrill that had caused me want to get on this revolutionary machine at the time.
A few years later, I fell across it in an arcade room of a small town by the sea where I was on vacation and it became the first game which I was hooked. Later it became an addiction which propels my real passion for Japanese pop culture and nanoblocks.
For the construction of this OutRun arcade machine Nanoblock model, I used pieces of both London Bus (NBH-080) and Empire State Building (NBM-004) sets. I was inspired by the photos of the arcade machine, so I studied all angles of the machine with these photos to immerse myself in the shape and then I built it in one sitting. After completing the model, I recreated and resized the arcade decorations and the screen images on Photoshop to the right scale, and then I printed them on a large white sticker.
